Mending Session 1
Join Moab Arts staff member Christina Wightman to work on that "needs mending" pile! This is a drop-in style, pay-what-you-can session. Work on your mending with others. We'll also be focusing on one or two mending techniques each session.

Class Description:
Join Moab Arts staff member Christina Wightman to work on that "needs mending" pile!
This is a pay-what-you-can, drop-in style class, where you can just hang out and work on your mending with others. We'll also be focusing on one or two mending techniques each session. Some basic materials will be provided, but bring anything specific you need for your mending project.
Session 1 will be needle felting as mending as well as other techniques for fixing stretchy fabrics. This includes, machine darning, and machine stitching and patching. It will be geared to working with stretch fabrics, like most outdoor and sportwear clothing.
Session 2 will be focusing on the art of visible mending aka Sashiko. Sashiko is a Japanese stitching and embroidery technique primarily used to mend, reinforce, and embellish garments.
